About Ilana
Dear TBE community, My name is Ilana Krause. I enjoy horseback riding, dance, and playing soccer and basketball. I live in Wellesley with my mother, father, and brothers Sander and Hayden. I am the youngest child in my family. I am in sixth grade at The Meadowbrook School of Weston. Becoming a bat mitzvah and an adult in the eyes of the Jewish community is important to me and my family. As a part of my bat mitzvah, I have set up a change drive to collect spare change for an organization called World of Change, which focuses its impact across six focus areas (Education, Housing, Food, Health, Animals & Nature, and Play). I learned about this great organization through my overnight camp, Camp Matoaka. We will be donating all money collected to the Pets and People organization in Massachusetts which provides pet-assisted therapy to those in need. I love animals, especially dogs and horses, and hope to spread joy and healing through animal therapy.

About Sage
Hi everyone! My name is Sage Benjamin. I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen baking all different treats for my friends, family and, most importantly, myself. Baking makes me feel happy and is something I love to do. I also like being active by playing soccer and being on the WSA swim team with my friends. I live in Wellesley with my parents, Ricki and Ezra, and my older brother Jonah who is a ninth grader at Wellesley High School. We also have Maple, our dog who loves to run around and makes everyone smile. I am a seventh grader at Wellesley Middle School. My favorite class is math because there is always a right answer, but I also like my other classes as well, including art. At WMS, I play the flute and am in the seventh grade band. As a bat mitzvah I am excited to become a Jewish adult and take on more responsibilities. Leading up to my bat mitzvah I have volunteered for many different Maasim Tovim projects, one of my favorites being Tot Shabbat which allows me to help younger kids experience Shabbat in a fun and exciting way and allows them to meet more kids their age.
